YATTA!

Why so, RK*?
Fully Booked in Trinoma will soon be stocking Haruhi light novels! I just reserved for the first two volumes. Good thing that light novels are generally cheaper than manga volumes.

By the way, I never read a light novel before. I'm expecting that it will be like a novel that is light (with some illustrations).

Things I Learned From Watching Toradora!
1. My sister was lying, and Yasuko never died.
2. The series did have a closure, at least with the official couple.
3. The Japanese for Tiger is Tora.
4. Toradora means "Tiger-Dra[gon]!".
6. Toradora may also mean "To[rpedo]-Attack-Dra[gon]!"
7. That I can enjoy Anime genres other than action, comedy or cooking duels.
8. That I liked Rie's voice all along.

Artsy Stuff
I don't want to talk about school right now, so I won't be telling you my exploits in children's book writing.

Anyway, I'm interested in Chowder's and Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei's (haven't watched that one yet) art styles. The one in which static textures are used for fill patterns.

Once again, my unreachable dream of being an animator is showing up again. That must mean that I have to take drawing classes already.

Compy Stuff
Why do I have this extremely insistent urge to hijack the root access of the Ubuntu machines in Ateneo?

Perhaps it's because of the noobiness of how those machines were set up.
1. Most of them are pre-Hardy Heron. And I want to upgrade them so very badly. At least to Hardy, at most, to Jaunty (or whatever is the latest).
2. Their attempt to make the Ubuntu machines' interface to look like it's Windows is pathetic.
3. I prefer to use KDE.
4. While those Ubuntu machines have good clock speeds, they have small RAM, I think they should have used Xubuntu / Fluxbuntu instead. (this overrides no. 3)
5. Using one CPU per terminal is a waste of resources, I wanted to set a multiseat configuration on them.
6. I wanna set up a separate guest account on the Ubuntu machines, so the unexperienced linux users won't break anything.
7. <halfjoke>I wanna show off with my r00t powurz to the unlinuxified (or even the linuxified) masses.</halfjoke>

I can't believe that a University which has a Fedora Linux powered web server can't even manage to get their Ubuntu terminals right. I WANTED THOSE MACHINES' ROOT ACCESS VERY BADLY! I think I should apply as a computer technician to Ateneo one day just to set up those darn computers correctly.

The guys who run the public computer room in Ateneo did one right thing by using Linux for some of their terminals, but they are not using them to the fullest extent. Because of this, unlinuxified students of Ateneo will forever have the false image of Linux being crappy. It's not the OS, it's the guys who set it up.
